CINCINNATI REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE PROGRAM
The Cincinnati Regional High School Theatre Program inspires and honors excellence in high school musical theater and recognizes the importance of musical theater and arts-education within the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community. The program offers arts education opportunities throughout the school year including professional master classes, audition workshops, apprenticeships and more, and culminates regionally at the Aronoff Center with the Cincinnati Regional High School Theatre Gala, modeled after the Tony Awards®, to recognize excellence in musical theater productions and students.
Starting in the fall of 2025, a curated panel of independent adjudicators will attend one production at each participating school and provide educational feedback and scores to determine nominations and awards in various categories. The Cincinnati Regional High School Theatre Program will be affiliated with the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (“The Jimmy Awards”) presented by The Broadway League Foundation. Representatives for the Jimmys will be selected from the regional nominees of the Best Actor and Actress categories.

THE JIMMY AWARDS
The Jimmy Awards® / The National High School Musical Theatre Awards® (NHSMTA®) program impacts more than 140,000 students who participate in high school musical theatre competitions sponsored by over forty professional theatres throughout the United States. Presented by the Broadway League Foundation, the program invites two winners from each of these regional ceremonies to participate in a theatre intensive including coaching and rehearsals with Broadway professionals in preparation for a one-night-only talent showcase. The program has been the catalyst for more than $5,000,000 in educational scholarships. For more information, please visit JimmyAwards.com.
